Great Gatsby Inspired Looks

With the release of the much anticipated movie this weekend, we thought it would be fun to put together some of our favorite "Great Gatsby" inspired looks.  Based on the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and starring Leonardo DiCaprio,  the story takes place during the "Roaring Twenties".  The film deals with decadence, excess and love against a setting of the old and newly affluent society on Long Island's Gold Coast.

Young women's fashion of the 1920s was both a trend and a social statement, a breaking-off from the rigid Victorian way of life. These young, rebellious, middle-class women, labeled 'flappers' by older generations, did away with the corset and donned slinky knee-length dresses, which exposed their legs and arms.

Here are a few of our favorite looks of the 1920's.  You can find more on our Pinterest page.

Unique Lingerie

Lingerie has come a long way from when it first popped up in ancient Egypt (around 3000 B.C.). As centuries have passed, lingerie has been made from all  sorts of different fabrics.  Materials such as cotton, silk, nylon, leather and lace just to name a few.  Today though, we see all sorts of different materials and styles of lingerie.  Here at Lingerie Diva, we're fascinated by some of the beautiful and creative things people come up with.  Here are a few examples of unique items we're loving.  Check out our Pinterest board for more.
